When Hailey Bieber cosigns a nail trend, we pay attention! The queen of the glazed donut nail doesn't follow nail trends—she sets or ignites them when she gives a certain look her stamp of approval. The Rhode founder dabbled in the cat-eye trend in the fall, when she wore a prismatic topaz-brown mani to match her Schiaparelli gown, but we weren't sure if she'd try it again; Bieber is pretty faithful to her lightly glazed nails these days. However, she proved us wrong at the 2026 WWD Style Awards in a silver cat-eye nail that glowed like the moonlight on a crisp winter night.
Bieber, who won the Style Trailblazer award at the ceremony, went for a silver-on-silver-on-silver palette for the awards, wearing a 2009 Armani Privé couture gown and glimmering nails to match. She turned to nail artist Zola Ganzorigt for her manicure and the two chose a light, platinum silver shade topped with the signature frosty, ever-changing cat-eye texture. Bieber stuck to her favorite nail shape, the almond, and when you think of it, a silver cat-eye nail does share some DNA with the pearly texture of a glazed donut manicure, almost like a sister mani. But the magic of a cat-eye manicure is that it shifts and transforms depending on the light; in some lights, the cat-eye effect looked as sheer as Cinderella's glass slipper, while in others, it shimmered like an ice queen.

Cat-eye nails have been enjoying a resurgence in the nail trend cycle since mid-2025 and really began to pop in the fall. They've been spotted on stars like Jessica Simpson, Cardi B, and Vanessa Hudgens, among others, and now that Bieber has worn the style not once but twice, we've got a feeling they're going to stick around.
